Clean out!
Posted by Lee-Loi Chieng in Uncategorized on December 30, 2011
So along with cleaning out old clothes today, I also reformatted my MacBook Air laptop.
I decided I want to keep apps at the minimum so after re-downloading and installing Lion over my MacBook Airs firmware (Which is awesome) Here is the list of apps I installed:
iLife Apps
iWeb
CyberDuck + HTML coding app
Final Cut Pro + Motion + Compressor
Quicksilver
Dropbox
For content on my laptop I decided I’ll put all 7 seasons of Buffy on it along with Ringer (As a security blanket of sorts) And the rest of my library will be on my other laptop which will always be on for my AppleTV devices etc, although my Music and apps will also be on my MacBook Air.
I need to post here more often

Goodbye Steve Jobs, End of an era
Posted by Lee-Loi Chieng in Apple, Blog, Technology, Video Games, World News on August 25, 2011
My view:
Apple is Steve Jobs other child. One that always is going to need neutering no matter the age and even when it gets to 21 and leaves the house you just can’t completely let go.
“I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.” – Quote in the letter
He’s still the person you call when I suppose in normal terms “Working away when the power trips and you need to call that special person to tell you which button to reset” and Tim Cook is Smart enough and more importantly trained enough almost in Parent terms by Steve to know if he thinks he’s doing something wrong that Steve is just a phone call or a FaceTime away.
Steve Jobs wouldn’t leave the Company if he had any doubt at all. I wish Steve the best in his retiring years and I look forward to seeing any new developments or updates he has to offer.
The week of Invitations & Beta
Posted by Lee-Loi Chieng in Blog, Technology on July 16, 2011
This week was a buzz. Got the following:
- Google Music account
- Spotify Account (US)
- TweetBot notifications
Why is everything hard? Anyhow Google Music is nice player for the web app however Spotify is the hotness. iTunes is off my dock. For video and streaming to my AppleTV using Plex which is the Media Center hotness. I love Spotify, great way to discover new music (Don’t waste your time on the rubbish Beyonce4 Album) but I’m currently listening to Adele19 (Big fan of Adele21). TweetBot notifications are pretty nifty. Like the new tone and not the usual chime alert.
Also On geekofcomedy.com don’t miss my new video segments, How to:. It should pop up in front of your face when you enter the website!
Bye!

So if your only reading the top post now I’m currently in the states with my Aunt Brenda and this is what we did on Day 3.
So first we qued for my confession:

We then headed into Times Square:

We then did Harry Potter, Followed by some shopping. Went in to the hard rock but there was a 90 minute wait and we could have ate a horse so we found this awesome Diner restaurant place in Times Square. I got this apparently “Award winning” Burger, and must I say it was delicious.

I Then got this awesome milkshake

Times Square was beautiful at night time!

Day 1:
At JFK Airport there was a line of like 50 taxis.

In the Taxi’s they were Visa transactions.

Oh and Taxis have TV’s on them!

Most of the day left was raining however we went to Times Square to see Scream 4 at the AMC Empire 25.

Day 2:
First off we went and got Frappas from StarBucks.

Then we went to the Apple store!

Then I tried one of those HotDogs Stands!

Then we went on a Horse and Carridge

Then for lunch I tried Macaroni and Cheese. And dang! That thing is heavy on the stomach. Only ate 1/4 of it!
