Synopsis

Mǐn, an Asian Irish crossdresser's bold plans to seduce a closeted GAA player takes a risky turn when three lads watch them having sex from afar. When the voyeurs discover Mǐn is not a woman, Mǐn must use their wits and charm to negotiate in order to survive the night.

About the Project

Premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival February 24th 2024 at 5PM in the Light House Cinema Dublin 7 to a SOLD OUT Audience. Its Irish Television Premiere on Virgin Media Television 1 was on the 1st of March 2024 at 11pm: The Irish Times highlights it as one of the 12 best things to watch on Television the week of broadcast!


Written and created by Lee-Loi Chieng as Winner of Virgin Media Discovers 2023 from over 400+ script submissions: Screen Ireland and Virgin Media Television present “Never Kill a Femboy on the First Date” starring Hansun Lamb in the lead role as Mǐn, under the direction of Oonagh Kearney, (Hulu/RTÉ "Obituary") with Aoibhín Murphy ("I Haven't Seen You in A Long Time, Now") producing through Newgrange Pictures. (Channel 5 “The Hardacres”) Script Editor: Elaine Walsh; Script Consultant: Aideen McCarthy. Lee-Loi Chieng was mentored by Frank Berry ("Aisha") on the project.


“Never Kill a Femboy on the First Date” also stars Daragh Cushen, Kane O'Connell Flynn, Elijah Bobby Aro and Felix O'Connor.
